This is a season for change not only in earth’s color scheme but the nourishing power of regrowth.
Gardner’s till the ground with intention and might just as the moon cycles through phases of its equinox as though both are preparing for the birth of equal division of day and night.
Earth’s sun gives equal attention to the power of growing and serenity of sleeping as though the divided courtesy reminds us to ready ourselves for the upcoming hibernation of winter – summer’s playground is fading.
We eye our sweaters and jackets with suspicion as though foreign objects have invaded our closets and are clamoring for attention. Memories dance across the clothes hangers reminding us of past social events and cold winter huddlings. Boots and snow-proof gear assume a prominent position in our living arrangements since they will be our close companions for the next few months -bikinis and flippy shoes are tossed to the back of the closet.
As we slip into the season of warm, silky sweaters, we are reminded that cool weather heralds change for earth and earthlings alike – both of which are vying for attention and sharing resources.
