Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease characterized by progressive mental deterioration and memory loss. (Merrian-Webster’s Dictionary and Thesaurus.) When I read this statement a quote comes to mind. “O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!” Walter Scott may not have been thinking of Alzheimer’s when he coined the phrase.
